In the Arms of Love
Chapter 10
Casey sorted through the stack of bras and panties she had chosen. She was pretty sure she could remember what she'd had in the drawer, and Daniel told her to replace every single piece. The sales clerk raised an eyebrow when she dropped the bundle on the counter.
"All of this?" the young woman asked.
Casey nodded. "I’m replacing all of my bras and panties."
"Wow, must be fun to do that."
"Yeah, it is," she smiled. She watched the clerk scan each tag. She hadn’t realized how much she had, until she began to think about each item. Daniel stood by the door. He was smiling at her.
When she was finished, she had two large bags. She hurried to where he waited for her.
"Did you replace everything?" he asked.
"Yep."
"Babe, that little white number…"
"Is in the third drawer with my teddies," she said with a smile.
Daniel grinned. "Good."
She giggled. "Guess I’m going to have to put that on again."
"I have no objection to that." He held the door open and they walked into the parking lot. "Where would you like to go for dinner?"
"Daniel, I can fix dinner."
He shook his head stubbornly. "Not tonight."
"Okay, how about Olive Garden?"
"Works for me."

When they finally got home, Casey looked around. The drawer to her dresser was on the counter, a trash bag on the floor held all the underwear that had been in it. She took her new things into the bedroom, then went back out for the drawer. Daniel and the bag were nowhere to be seen.
She put her new things into the washer with Woolite, and set it on the 'hand wash' cycle. She heard Daniel come into the house. "What else did he do?"
"He watched the videos of our engagement party and wedding."
She nodded.
"I can have new tapes made," he said softly.
"No, that’s okay."
"I think it hurt him to watch them."
She nodded again. She walked over and examined both doors. "Which one?"
"On the right."
She looked again. "Jack was right, I can’t tell anything happened." She stood in the middle of the living room, staring at the couch. "I can’t believe that bastard did this!"
Daniel walked over and put his arms around her. "It’s over now, babe."
Casey relaxed into his embrace, put her arms around his neck. "Daniel?"
"What, babe?"
"Let’s make love," she said softly.
"Thought you’d never ask," he said with a smile. He scooped her into his arms, and carried her into the bedroom. He laid her gently onto the bed, stretched out beside her. He undressed her slowly, kissing her, touching her, caressing her, igniting flames in her that only the joining of their bodies could quench. He pulled his own clothes off, tossed them aside.
"Love you, My Heart," she whispered, as he sank into her warm well.
"Love you too, Angel," he replied. He moved slowly, taking his time in bringing her to that place where only his touch could take her. Her whispers made the fire in his own body roar out of control. When she cried out, his heart soared. He followed her into bliss, then rolled to his back, holding her close, their bodies still melded as one.
They lay for some time, holding one another, comfort given and received.

Casey sat on the bed in the infirmary, swinging her legs, looking around while she waited for Dr. Williams. He had called her in, saying that he needed to talk to her. Something about her post mission physical two days ago. He had assured her that everything was fine, that he just wanted to redo a test. He had taken a blood sample, and now here she sat, waiting for the results.
Dr. Williams entered the room, a huge grin on his face. "I ran the test two more times, just to make sure. Congratulations, Casey. You’re pregnant."
