Training With SG-1
Chapter 10
It was twilight, the sun had just disappeared behind the mountains as Daniel
guided the Jeep through quiet residential streets. Their windows down, they
could hear the sounds of children at play, the chirping of crickets, the
occasional bark of a dog. Peaceful sounds. Welcome sounds.
"I have a question for you," Casey said, watching as Daniel turned
right on Baker Street. Four blocks down was a Sonic.
"I have an answer, let’s see if they match," Daniel responded automatically.
"Ha ha. Would you mind if I said I’d like to go to Sonic?"
Daniel glanced at his wife. They’d had dinner in the commissary not more than two hours earlier. Not that she’d actually eaten much. He understood her lack of enthusiasm for the meal…her beef stroganoff was far better than what they had been served. In fact, the food had been rather bland. "No. Why?"
"I guess just talking about it with Nyan…well, I’m sort of craving a Frito-chili ‘pie’," Casey admitted.
"Whatever you want, Angel," Daniel said softly. The more he could
get her to eat, he thought, the better. She was still three pounds shy of the
five Janet wanted to see her put on. No doubt what she’d been through in that
castle had burned at least one pound off her slender frame. He drove past 21st
Street, where they would normally turn to get to Baldwin, and home. He pulled
into the lot of the drive-in, and found a spot on the far side to park.
A quick discussion had Casey choosing to order a thick, chocolate shake as well
as the chili and cheese covered Fritos. Daniel, hungrier than he’d realized…guess
I didn’t eat much of that stuff either, he thought…opted for a burger
and onion rings, and like his wife, he chose a chocolate shake.
"Sam is going to try to create a computer simulation to figure that castle
out," Casey informed her husband, as soon as he’d ordered their food.
"If anyone can do it, she can," Daniel replied.
"It really would be interesting to know how that castle worked. What if there’s some sort of technology we’ve never encountered?" Casey continued.
"Unless scans from one of our ships can determine what’s down there, I
don’t think anyone is going to find out…at least no one from Earth."
"Jack’s reaction was a ‘knee-jerk’ reaction. He’s still too
emotionally raw from watching Sam go through that maze. I’m betting, once he’s
calmed down a bit, she’ll be able to talk him into full scans, and possibly
even having teams return to examine that castle."
"Don’t bet on it," Daniel said. "Jack is right…it’s possible that any male teams that get stuck there wouldn’t be able to make it through that maze."
"I was thinking about that," Casey admitted. "What if there was something that could evaluate our weight, height, mass…what if the maze we were directed into was meant for…well, smaller people? It’s possible there’s another maze or two that larger men would be directed to…that they would be able to get through."
Daniel frowned slightly. "Actually, that makes sense. I was thinking along the lines of men not being as large back in the days of kings and knights, but your theory is actually better."
"So, you’ll tell Jack?"
The archaeologist grinned. "Yeah, I’ll talk to him about it. No doubt Sam will have already figured that out as well."
Casey began to giggle. "He’ll cave. He loves her too much to deny her something she really wants, especially when she can prove it’s not dangerous. And, he’s not going to pass up an opportunity to find new technology. Whether or not he’ll be willing to write a report about it to share with the Pentagon…" her voice trailed off.
Daniel began to chuckle. "He’ll go out of his way to make sure the SGC has the info, and the Pentagon doesn’t."
"I worry about him…someday he’s going to take a step too far, and some asinine general is going to nail his ass to the wall. Then we’ll have to find a new CO," Casey sighed.
Daniel’s chuckles turned to laughter. "Won’t happen. Jack has made a career out of sliding right up to the line, and never going over it."
"There’s always the fact that we’re immortal, too," Casey grinned. "We just wait for the damned old bastards die out, and then get back to work."
"Now Jack would absolutely love doing that," Daniel declared. "He’d go to Minnesota and fish until it was time to get back to work."
"So true," Casey giggled.
Their food arrived, and they enjoyed their snack, still discussing their day. There had been several heart-stopping moments. There had been moments of absolute frustration. But for the most part, they agreed, even though it had been a very strange and curious day, it hadn’t been a bad day.
A A A A A A
Daniel smiled as he followed Casey into the house. Just as she always did, she’d given a soft sigh as soon as she stepped inside.
"Home sweet home," she said, before disappearing into the bedroom to drop her purse in the chair and leave her shoes in the closet. She even took the time to turn the bed back…no doubt they’d be there, making love, very shortly.
Daniel checked the mailbox, sorted through the few envelopes and flyers that
had been delivered.
"Anything interesting?"
"Hmm? No. Just the electric bill."
"Shouldn’t be high this month, we haven’t been home much," Casey mused.
"True."
"Coffee?"
"Yes, please," Daniel replied, tossing the bill onto his desk, and the rest into the wooden basket used for junk mail. He followed his wife into the kitchen, leaned against the island, arms crossed against his ribs as he watched her. For one moment, images of her in the maze played before his eyes. He closed them, and shook himself mentally. He jerked slightly with surprise when two arms wrapped around him. He freed his own arms from between their two bodies, and pulled her close.
"I’m just fine."
"I know."
"I won’t say I wasn’t scared a few times."
"You wouldn’t be human if you’d not been afraid of those tests," he replied.
"Gotta admit, we’re damned good at figuring things out."
It was impossible not to chuckle at the glee in those amazing green eyes. "We’re damned good at figuring things out."
"I kept wishing you were with me in that maze…until we hit that corridor with the fire," Casey admitted. "Then…then I was relieved that you weren’t. In that moment, even if it wasn’t conscious, I knew that you and Jack and Teal’c never could have made it through. Standing here now, safe in your arms, in our house, I can look at those feelings and thoughts…and…" She broke off, shaking her head slightly. "Ya know, if we keep going through the ‘gate, the list of places I’ll refuse to go into is just gonna get longer, and then it just won’t be worth going through at all."
Once again he shook with laughter. Casey’s sense of humor helped her deal
with the most difficult, most traumatic occurrences in her life. May that
sense of humor never fail her, he prayed silently.
"So…are you okay?"
"I’m fine."
She filled two mugs with coffee, putting cream and sugar in one and just sugar in the other. She handed him the black, sweetened coffee. Her eyes searched his as she blew carefully over the steaming brew, then took a sip. "You’re sure? I mean…watching that couldn’t have been easy…I’d have been out of my mind if our roles had been reversed."
"Out of my mind," Daniel repeated softly. Just as she had done, he
blew carefully over his coffee before taking a small swallow. Great coffee.
"Yeah, that pretty much covers it."
"I think the worst part of the day…worst parts," she
corrected herself, "were the times when we were separated. It seems that it
was those times when we were facing something really…intense."
Daniel frowned slightly. "When that room started moving, it was the
strangest sensation. We all lost our footing almost immediately. I would have
sworn we were moving down…Sam and Jack thought the same thing. There was a lot
of shaking, then…well, I guess the room sort of jerked a time or two. When we
opened the door, we were right back where we’d started, in that entry hall.
Damned strange," he repeated.
"You know that treasure was real," Casey said softly, studying her
half empty mug.
"I know," he replied, his voice just as soft. The fleeting thought that he hoped like hell the Pentagon hadn’t bugged their house flashed through his mind.
"I don’t think it would have ended well for us if we’d tried to take anything. I’m pretty sure just touching that stuff would have been…painful."
He raised an eyebrow, his eyes asking the question he didn’t voice.
She shook her head. "No, I didn’t ‘see’ anything about it. But, Goddess, the vibes in that room were…of all the tests we endured, it was the most…important."
"Good thing we’re not the greedy, criminal type," Daniel mused. He put his mug in the sink. Took hers when she held it out to him, and sat it beside his.
"No doubt. Well, all’s well that ends well." Casey frowned. "Just who the hell came up with that, anyway? It might have ended well, but damn, it sure was a pain in the ass going through it!"
"You can say that again," Daniel agreed.
"I said, it-"
Before she could repeat herself, his lips sought hers. He needed to know that she was safe. Needed to feel her heartbeat. Taste her sweetness. The gentle kiss became more demanding. Her tongue slipped past his lips, into his mouth, sending a bolt of pure desire from the top of his head down his spine to the soles of his feet.
There wasn’t anything in the world…in the universe…that could compare to kissing Daniel. It was a feast…it was a banquet of sensations…it was an experience not to be missed. Her entire body felt as if it were on the verge of exploding into flames, just from the touch of his lips against hers, his tongue teasing her, touching her, tasting her. She tightened her arms around his shoulders, molded her body to his, needing to feel him closer…closer still…
"I love you," Daniel murmured against her lips.
"I love you, too," Casey sighed in response.
"Let’s go to bed."
"Most excellent idea."
Daniel swung her into his arms, carried her to the bedroom, tentacles of pleasure spreading throughout his body as Casey nibbled on his neck. The bed was ready for them. So efficient, my beautiful wife, he thought with a mental chuckle, before her lips moved to his shoulder, forcing all thought from his mind. He put her on her feet, his hands going to her waist. He worked his fingers beneath her tee shirt, gently caressing her soft skin. Slowly he moved his hands upward, taking the thin cloth with him. His mind cried out its objection when her soft hands left his face when she lifted her arms. One tug and he tossed the shirt to the floor. His hands immediately went to her lace covered breasts.
Casey gasped as his thumbs rolled over her stiffening nipples, his touch sweet agony. She arched against him, forcing her breasts into his hands, silently demanding more of his attention. She wasn’t disappointed…he deftly twisted the hook that held her bra together. She shrugged it from her shoulders, letting it drop to the floor. Her hands moved under his shirt. His skin was warm, muscles firm against her fingers. She toyed with his nipples as he continued to tease hers with his fingers.
On fire, in dire need of her, Daniel stepped away long enough to pull his
shirt over his head. Where it landed, he had no idea, nor did he care. Before he
could reach for his belt, her soft hands were already undoing the buckle…tugging
down the zipper of his jeans…snaking inside the cotton of his boxers to stroke
the hot, throbbing length of his manhood. "Oh, god," he murmured as
she began to move her hand rhythmically.
The need to taste him, to please him, was overwhelming. She dropped to her
knees, pulled his jeans and boxers to his, and leaned forward, letting her
tongue catch the first drops of precum as they oozed from the swollen head of
his magnificent erection. She closed her lips around him and slid down as far as
she could, her hands wrapping around the part of him she could never quite fit
into her mouth.
"Oh, hell yes!"
Encouraged by his outburst, and the increased throbbing of his member, she
began to move up and down on him, sucking and licking him as if she’d never
get the chance to do so again. The warm saltiness of the fluid leaking so
copiously now only made her determined to have more.
He wrapped his hands in her hair, his hips sliding him in and out of her warm,
eager mouth in time with her movements. His head dropped forward, his chin on
his chest, as the feelings of pure, absolute bliss washed over him. Far too soon
he felt the tingle in the back of his neck just seconds before his cock began to
tingle as well. Suddenly he was there…taking flight, giving her everything he
had with each spasm that caused a slight jerk in his entire body.
She slowed her movements, her tongue barely touching him as she cleaned the essence of his orgasm from his skin. "Better?"
"Unbelievable," he replied, giving her a shy, lazy smile.
Rising to her feet, Casey pushed her own jeans and bikinis to the floor.
Daniel stepped out of his clothes. Once again he picked her up…then gently, almost reverently, laid her on the bed. "My turn," he whispered, delighted when the slender body beside him shivered slightly.
Casey offered a gentle smile as Daniel stretched out beside her. She lifted her chin when he began to place small nibbles and kisses on her throat…on her shoulders…
"My beauties," he sighed, just before lowering his head to her breast. He licked the nipple, teased it, then began to suckle in earnest…his hand teasing its twin.
"Mmm…" She wasn’t even aware that her body rose off the
mattress just slightly, pushing against him, begging for more. She sighed again
when he moved his mouth to her other breast. Back and forth…each breast
getting his full, undivided attention in turn. Fingers of molten fire moved from
her nipples to the very core of her being, increasing the heat and the aching
need between her thighs.
He rolled slightly, putting himself on top of her, sliding so that he was face
to belly with her. As he adjusted his position, he caught a whiff of her hot,
sweet scent…spring flowers and vanilla…and just a hint of the musk that
signaled her increasing arousal. He covered her flat belly with kisses. Teased
her bellybutton…tugged slightly on the naval ring that glittered there.
"Please," she begged breathlessly.
That’s it, babe. Beg. He smiled against her skin, moved his hands slowly up and down her slender thighs. Even with his weight against her, she shifted, spreading her legs…offering herself to him. It was an invitation he’d not ignore. He shifted down again, nuzzling the tight curls at the apex her thighs. One hand slipped between them, his fingers gently stroking her moist, swollen womanhood. He paused for just a moment to gaze at her body…the pink, wet flower waiting for him. Offered to no other man but him…With a sigh of contentment and delight, he began to lap at the nectar she offered. Felt the pheromones flood his system…felt the immediate ‘high’ that always came from making love to her orally.
"Ngg…yes," she whispered.
Encouraged by her responses, he made love to her, tasting and touching every inch of her warm folds. When he thrust his tongue into her well, she shivered and filled his mouth with her sweet honey. He tossed about in his mind for a love poem, one offered itself. He used his tongue as the stylus to inscribe his love against her skin, teasing the swollen nub at the top of her folds with every stanza. When her thighs began to tremble against his shoulders, he gave his full attention to that bundle of nerves, his heart singing along with her as her aria of love filled the air. His own body was making demands…his cock throbbing almost painfully. He moved up, felt her hands reach between them. She guided him to her very center, and he eased forward slowly. Her body wrapped around him, welcomed him, her hips rising to meet him, to pull him deeper inside. Resting on his forearms, he began their dance of love.
So full…so completely full of Daniel. He filled her completely…her heart,
her mind, her body, her senses…So safe. Always so safe in his arms. No fears.
No self-doubts. No worries. Just love. Beautiful, warm, amazing love.
Her arms were locked around his shoulders, her legs around his hips. She never let him move too far away from her, pulling him back again and again. He’d never known such pure pleasure, such deep love. Her body took him completely, and seemed to beg for more. He pushed deeper…reveling once again in the knowledge that she was made just for him…that they were made for one another, and fit together like two puzzle pieces.
They moved together, the tapping of the brass headboard against the wall nothing more than an accompaniment to their love. Hearts beat in time with one another as they danced...as they made love…as they spiraled higher and higher among the stars.
She was close…colors began to swirl behind her closed eyelids. She smiled when she felt his lips moving against her throat. So close…she could feel the breeze as she stood at the top of the mountain, waiting to take flight…
"Give it to me, Angel," Daniel panted. His body was stretching…waiting…almost there…he couldn’t, he wouldn’t fall into the abyss before she was flying…
She gave a soft moan…then her voice rose as she sang her pleasure. "Daniel!" she cried out, her body shaking with delight.
The quiver in her thighs, her song of love…he cried out her name as he plunged into her one last time, the trembling walls of her well milking his throbbing member.
Her hands moved over his back, her fingers massaging his sweat-dampened muscles.
With a groan, he worked his arm beneath her hips, and rolled to his back. He adjusted the pillows behind his head as she made herself comfortable on top of him, their bodies still connected, still one.
"That was wonderful," she sighed.
"Yes, it was," he agreed. He couldn’t help but grin when she giggled, the result of a sudden twitch from his cock.
"I guess it’s really official now," she sighed.
"What’s official?" His hands moved slowly from her hips to her shoulders and back again. He loved the way her body responded to the simple touch.
"That you’re my knight in shining armor. That king said so. Well, okay, not exactly, but still, you’ve been declared a worthy knight, and you’re mine, so it works out."
Daniel chuckled. "Think so, huh?"
"Mmmhmm."
He wrapped his arms around her, kissed the top of her head. His heart pounded with love…and with awe. Because he knew that Casey believed what she’d said. She saw him as her ‘knight in shining armor’. As long as she loved him, he would be, could be anyone she wanted him to be. A wide yawn overtook him, interrupting his train of thought. "Sleep, Angel. We’re going to be busy showing Nyan around tomorrow."
"Mmmhmm."
The only sound in the room was the soft sound of their breathing. The bright
blue light that had shimmered against the walls…light that they never noticed…had
faded, leaving the room in comfortable darkness.
Once again SG-1 had walked straight into a dangerous situation. Once again they
had walked away, if not exactly ‘victorious’, then certainly no worse for
the wear. May that SG-1 good luck never fail, Daniel thought, just before
he gave himself over to sweet slumber.
