Woohoo! "Picking Up the Pieces" is now posted! I hope you enjoy this story...I have to admit, there were scenes in this story that were a lot of fun to write! I will suggest one thing...pay attention to the details. And never fear, I won't leave you 'hanging' too long! *grin*
As always, my thanks goes out to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for making the journey through these Stargate Universes so much fun! It's because of you that the Muse continues to whisper, and the Characters keep telling me their stories! THANKS!!!

Hello, hello! Yep, it's been awhile, I know. Time flies when you're having fun!!
This is just a little note to let you know that yes, we're alive and kicking, and TCO is still 'active'! I am, as a matter of fact, about halfway finished with the next story in the Destiny's Child series. It will be tied in with the next two stories. Hopefully they won't be quite as long as this story is turning out to be!
Just to put in a plug for the mailing list, which I haven't done in some time, those on the mailing list get regular updates, and are given a 'heads up' about any stories being posted, or any other changes that occur on TCO. If you're interested, sign up...it's free!
As always, a great big Thank You to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for making TCO so much fun, and such a success!

Greetings and Salutations!
Just wanted to explain the 'addition' to the Front Page and the Home Page, that of the server stat counts for TCO. Having had admin carefully explain the reason that the count is 'off' from the Statcounter.com number, I thought I'd list the more accurate count as well. According to Admin, with TCO using the free Statcounter.com program, our page sometimes gets 'dropped' in favor of paid accounts. Makes sense, and can't fault the program for that, right? However, with TCO being on it's very own harddrive (apparently we tend to slow the other drive down when the site is really busy...teehee!) the hits are 100% accurate. Page views are just that, the number of pages that fully loaded and were viewed. The hits are the pages that were either 'hit' for less than 10 seconds, or didn't fully load. These stats are 'viewed' stats, which are listed separately from the 'non-viewed' stats, those hits are created by robots, worms, or replies with special HTTP status codes. I never pay attention to them...*grin*
The two numbers are the totals from August, 2006 to the present. They'll be updated weekly.
Just wanted to share that little tidbit of info with you...not too shabby for a simple little fan fiction site, eh?
Of course, the site wouldn't have grown in size and popularity without the love and support of the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD! Thank you so very much for taking the Journey with us, and making it such a joy!
(And yes, work is ongoing for the next story, titled "Picking Up the Pieces"!)
June 23, 2010
Hello, hello!
This is just a quick little announcement that my latest story, "Puzzles" is now up and ready for your perusal. It's part of the Destiny's Child story line. It was actually a lot of fun to write, after all, I knew what was going on...*grin*
The Muse is anxious to get to work on the next tale, which is always a good thing. I'm having a blast writing about SG-1, and their ongoing adventures as they continue to battle the Goa'uld. To those who have emailed me to say that TCO offers that much needed 'Stargate SG1 fix', thank you so very much! I'm thrilled that you've found our little fan fiction site, and that the stories within fill void left by the departure of the show. One good thing about fan fiction, it can, and will, keep the characters and the story premise alive for a very, very long time to come!
As always, thanks to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for all of your love and support! It's because of you that this journey is so much fun! And it's because of you that TCO is the active fan fiction site that it is. Lisa, Renee, and I all agree that knowing our tales are being enjoyed by others is most incredible feeling ever! THANK YOU!!!!!
April 29, 2010
Greetings and Salutations! Just wanted to point out that TCO has now gone over 400,000 page views! That's a lot of reading going on! Lisa, Renee and I are just thrilled that so many of you have joined us on this journey. We're having so much fun, and apparently, so are you!
We want to thank the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for making TCO a world-wide favorite among Stargate SG-1 fans.
March 18, 2010
Hello, hello! At long last, I'm thrilled (excited...overjoyed...relieved!) to announce that the newest story in the Destiny's Child series is up and ready for your perusal. I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever manage to get it posted! But I prevailed, and it's ready. I hope that you enjoy reading "Fragile Balance of Politics" as much as I enjoyed writing it! As I've mentioned before, the title holds a clue to what the story contains. Please be sure to read the Author's Note on the introduction page!
I want to thank all of my wonderful faithful readers for their patience during this time...I know it's been longer than normal to get this story ready for you. Which just proves that you're the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD!
February 23, 2010
Four years ago, on February 22nd, The Chosen One went online for the first time. Wow...time really DOES fly when you're having fun! (Flew so fast I darned near missed the "big day"!) The site has certainly changed from that first grouping of simple pages. It's grown...a lot! I'm so thrilled to have Renée and Lisa here with me, adding their incredible talent and wonderful stories to the site. And of course, the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD continue to keep TCO a favorite among Stargate SG-1 fans worldwide. THANK YOU so very much for making this journey so joyful!
Here's to another great year!
February 8, 2010
(So, is anyone else having trouble becoming accustomed to writing 2-0-1-0 for the year???)
Anyway, just a short note to let you know that yes, honestly and truly I'm working on the next story. It's just taking a bit longer than I had anticipated. I promise, it shouldn't be too much longer now. Really! On the up side, when this one is posted, the bits and pieces I have together for the next one (sometimes, the Muse torments me, ya know! *grin*) should come together more quickly. I hope. I believe, however, when you read the story, which by the way, is titled "Fragile Balance of Politics" (and there's a BIG hint about the story in the title...do you see it?) you'll understand the reason it took a bit longer. Oh, and that...the hint...isn't the only reason. You'll see. Really.
A great big Thank You to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for hanging in there so patiently!!!
January 10, 2010
Wow...a new year already! I hope your holidays were happy and blessed! I apologize for the lack of updates lately, but between RW and the Muse, I've been busy! The main reason for this little update is to point out a new difference in the Homepage for TCO. There are no longer any voting banners. For the past year Renee, Lisa and I have been keeping track of hits (if any) from those lists. There are other lists from which we receive far more visitors, as well as what seems to be our growing 'word of mouth' reputation. Our listings won't be removed from those lists...just in case there might actually be someone who would happen by and see it there. But the whole voting thing is just not working for us, since we forget half the time! Two of the lists simply record any visits to the homepage, and TCO has two very good and detailed stat counters for that. (The server stats are amazing, btw!) So, there's no need to remain 'active' on any of said lists. Webring has been very good to TCO, and we're thrilled to have the readers join us from those rings. The lists were far more 'important' for TCO when the site was new, and we were trying to let folks know that we exist. Mission accomplished. So, while the lists did what they were intended to do in the beginning, a distinct lack of interest in the lists themselves has resulted in no traffic at all from them. The site looks less 'crowded' without them, and that pleases me! *grin* (You know me...simplicity is the key!)
So, that's the big change for the year. Lisa, Renee and I are busy, hard at work with the Muse and the characters, so stories will be forthcoming...when they're ready! We're too finicky about our work to post it before it's ready...but I promise, it won't be long before there are new stories listed. If you haven't read Lisa's latest story, "A Prophecy of Shadows", I encourage you to do so...it's awesome!
I believe that's all for now! Once again I'll take the opportunity to thank the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for their continued support!
November 25, 2009
Just a quick note to wish all of my friends in the U.S.ofA. a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving. Let's all give thanks for every blessing we enjoy, from the simple to the miraculous.
October 22, 2009
Howdy! Well, it took a bit longer than I had anticipated, but at long last the newest installment in the Destiny's Child story saga is finally ready to be posted. (When RW interferes, it really does a bang-up job of screwing up my plans!) This story is the first in a new 'mini-series', and one that should be interesting. I hope you enjoy this latest endeavor, titled "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep".
As always, posting stories is so much more fun because of you...the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD!
October 3, 2009
Hello!!!!!! I'm sooooo excited right now I could just explode! The Stargate Fan Awards have announced the winners for the 2008 awards round. And, my dear friends and gentle readers, there are winners here at TCO! Renee took 1st place for the SG-1/ship/Daniel/Angst category with "Steps Back In Time". That story makes me cry just thinking about it! Lisa took 1st place for the SG-1/ship/Other/Romance category with "Coming Home". Thinking about that story...is it warm in here?? And yours truly took Honorable Mention for SG-1/ship/Daniel/Action-Adventure with "The Devil In the Details". How absolutely cool is that?
None of this would have happened without the support of our wonderful readers...the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD! For all of you who took the time to go to the SFA site, and perused the offerings there, and who voted for us, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
September 23, 2009
Hello, hello! It seems that autumn is upon us! Time flies when you're having fun, eh? Just a little note here to let you know that work on my latest story is going well, although I doubt seriously that it will be finished before the end of the month, certainly won't be ready to post until the middle of October. Sometimes RW has a habit of intruding on my fun...*grin*
I'd like to send out a great big 'welcome' to the new readers that TCO is thrilled to have...yep, picked up a few more in the past couple of weeks. So..."Welcome!" I'm so glad you stopped by, and I hope you enjoy your visit to my Stargate universe (or Renee's and/or Lisa's!) TCO has been blessed to have the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD, and I'm thrilled that so many Stargate fans have found a fan fiction 'home' on this site!
For those interested, no word yet on the winner's of the SFA's...as soon as word comes out, I'll be certain to let you know!
Until next time...Take the Journey!
August 20, 2009
Just a little note to let you all know that Lisa, Renee and I are all working diligently...and sometimes even on our respective stories! *grin* It's been a very busy (read: 'hectic') summer for us, as we all have had RW situations to deal with. Don't worry, they were, for the most part, good things. At the moment, it looks as if late September is going to be the soonest I can possibly have my story ready to post.
As always, I'd like to thank the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for all of your support. And a special 'hello' to those who have come to us from the SFA nomination list, and returned to read other stories on the site. We're thrilled that you've found stories that interest you, and keep you coming back for more!
As soon as there's anything to actually 'report', I'll certainly do so. Until then..."Take the Journey"!
July 7, 2009
Have a 'dual purpose' update here. First, Renée, Lisa and I would like to thank all of the incredible readers who nominated our stories for the
Those nominated stories are as follows:
Lisa...Karma
Renée...Changes
Robin...The Devil In the Details
We are so blessed with the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD, and we appreciate all of your support...being nominated by you is just totally awesome. (And for those who nominated stories that didn't make 'the cut', there's always next time around, I promise!) We hope that you'll have as much fun reading the stories offered on the nomination lists as we are!
The second reason for this update is to let you know that "Family Reunion" has been finished and posted! This 'short' story...isn't. Turned into a novel, it did! The Muse and the characters had a lot to say. I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it!
Thanks again for all of your support...we appreciate it so very much!
July 2, 2009
Hold on to your hats, folks...it's actually happened. (All those who placed bets need to see Ferretti about payment...*grin*) The Stargate Fan Awards has finally opened for voting. Voting will be open until July 31st. As always, there's an absolute smorgasbord of delightful fan fiction, artwork and videos to devour...so run, don't walk to the SFA's and just dive right in! This is the best way to show the authors and/or artists how much you enjoy their work!
Here's the link...have a great time immersing yourself in the Stargate universe!
June 8, 2009
A quick list of the stories which have had illustrations added to them. Thanks for the great feedback (especially you, Katie!). I agree, Yak is great at doing the 'banners' for TCO! We're thrilled that she's so willing to put in the time and effort to help make TCO look so great!
And the stories are:
The Devil In the Details...chapters 2, 5, and the epilogue
Artistic Differences...chapter 3
Whispers From the Past...chapter 9
What the Eye Beholds, the Heart Denies...chapters 3, 6, and 11
Thanks again to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD! You know why...*big grin*
June 6, 2009
Hello, hello! Just wanted to let the AWESOME TCO READERS know that the Destiny's Child stories have been 'spiffied up' just a bit. The resident TCO artist has created 'banners' that allow you...the awesome reader...to peek into Daniel and Casey's journal, to read the notes and text messages and treaties and letters...just a bit of visual fun that was created to add just a bit more to the story. The stories where such banners have been placed are as follows:
When Destiny Calls...chapters 1 and 3
White Lace and Promises...chapters 7 and 15
Twenty-Four...chapters 4 and 10
Lessons Learned...chapter 5
I Was Lost, But Now I'm Found...chapters 5 and 6
I Was Blind, But Now I See...chapter 7
Aloha Pa'ing...chapter 1
Hell to Pay...chapter 1
Hell Hath No Fury...chapters 1 and 3
Needle In a Haystack...chapter 3
Dream a Little Dream...chapter 6
Seek and Ye Shall Find...chapters 4 and 10
Know Thyself...chapter 6
Desperate Acts...chapter 7
Daddy's Little Girl...chapter 1
There are about three more stories that will have illustrations added, and I'll be certain to let you know when, and which ones!
Thanks to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for making this journey such fun!
May 25, 2009
Blessed Memorial Day! As this day of remembrance comes to an end, I hope that you will continue to keep in mind all of the men and women who gave their lives for this country, the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Keep in your prayers the men and women who continue to serve in the armed forces, and continue to protect us and our children, and our way of life. Let us never forget that without them, there would be no freedom.
In TCO news, Yak, our resident artist, has begun the daunting task of making banners for The Chosen One series. As always, they're amazing...take a peek if you haven't already done so!
On the SFA front...rumor has it (and it's posted on their website that voting is to open soon. Something about the first of June was mentioned...but let's not hold them to that, eh? I'll post an announcement when the voting does officially open, so that you can go over and partake of the incredible collection of Stargate fan fiction and artwork. Remember, if you enjoy something, drop a vote for it...and don't forget to let the author/artist know that you liked their work. Feedback is absolute 'soul food'!
As always, a great big THANK YOU to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for making TCO such an awesome success! Sharing our work with you has made the journey all the more enjoyable for all three of us!
May 19, 2009
Greetings and Salutations! I'm happy to announce that the new story for the Destiny's Child series, "Mirror, Mirror", has been uploaded, and is ready for your perusal. This was an interesting story to write...as we get a peek at what SG-1 might be like if everything possible had gone wrong. You know me, I'm a firm believer in happy endings! *grin*
As always, a great big Thank You! to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for all of your support!
April 22, 2009
Just a quick note to let you know that the 'yearly update shuffle' has been taken care of. There are now three pages of updates, from the first year of TCO to the present. Hopefully I have the links all working correctly! *grin* Just click on the "Archive" button on my corner page, and you can select either of the other archive pages from there.
Work is proceeding on the next story for TCO, and I'm hoping to have it ready to upload sometime toward the middle of May. Might be a tad later than that, depending on how long and how often the Muse and I argue. *sigh* I know, I'm just the fingers for the keyboard. But it's the principal of the thing, ya know...*big grin*
A great big (and a bit tardy!) welcome to the new readers who have found TCO. Glad you've joined us on the journey!
And by all means not least...a great big thank you to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for their continued support! It means the world to me!

The Official debrief of the TCO Executive Conference.
After Renee recovered from the novelty of snow falling, recon commenced. Primary mission to get the lowdown of the terrain and to establish relations with the natives of the far away place known as Vancouver.
Upon receiving word that all was clear, the remainder of the team arrived. Travel started later than planned due to an equipment procurement problem. This was quickly dealt with, as higher levels of management were able to settle the issue before heads rolled. Once needed equipment had been received, Robin and Lisa proceeded to the rendezvous point.
The meeting progressed into full party mode from the first moment of contact. [Important warning to be noted: should future contact be made medical treatment may be required for aching stomachs, ribs and cheeks due to constant fits of laughter. Earplugs to be provided as a courtesy to all rooms on the entire floor due to the rather loud exuberance of our party...er...conference, which lasted well beyond midnight each night.] New friendships were formed, discovery of surprising mutual acquaintances were made and did we mention there was laughter? (There was so much it bears a second mention!) After two days of having been turned loose to run around Vancouver, it was back to TCO headquarters.
In between all the chatting and laughing and playing tourist, there has been much discussion about story plots and character development and we even managed to do some research. We're most excited to announce that there will be a wedding coming up, but we're not going to say which characters or which story corner are going to tie the knot.
At this time, rumors are already flying about a repeat conference, whether or not this will be achievable will be dealt with in future meetings, depending upon next year's budget approval. It should be noted that the natives were most willing to see the team return at a future date.
March 25, 2009
Greetings and salutations! Today the short story, "Ewoks and Care Bears" has been uploaded for your reading enjoyment. This little story was a lot of fun to write...and SG-1 had a bit of fun. Well, Jack didn't seem as amused as the rest of the team did...*big grin* TCO's resident artist, Yak, did an excellent job on the intro banner, and the treaty that was reached. It looks awesome! Thanks, Yak!!! I hope you enjoy this bit of levity, the plans the Muse has for the next story is sure to try the very souls of the gang.
As always, I want to thank the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for taking the journey with me. Your presence makes the trip all the more fun! So, THANK YOU!
Enjoy the story!
March 12, 2009
Hello! I had honestly planned to do an update last month, but time just seemed to slip away from me...and my focus had been on finishing "Final Showdown". But, here I am, to tell you that all is well for TCO! I'm working on a new story, and hope to have it ready to post before the end of the month. If it's not posted then, it won't be uploaded until the middle of April, as Lisa and Renee will be visiting me during the second and third weeks of that month. I'm very much looking forward to spending time with my two best friends! I have high hopes of getting "Ewoks and Carebears" posted, however. It's going to be a short (she says confidently!) funny little story...a bit of levity before a story that will be filled with angst. (Gee, what a surprise, eh?)
Hmm...SFA update...no word yet. (Another surprise...*rolls eyes*)
I do believe that's it for now. If you receive the TCO newsletter, you'll be kept up-to-date on the progress of the story, and of course the posting date/time.
As always, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for all of your support. It means so very much to me!
February 25, 2009
Just a quick note to let you know that "Final Showdown", the new story for the Destiny's Child series, has been posted for your reading enjoyment! This story is the final installment of the 'Eye of the Beholder' mini-series...we'll be moving into a new mini-series now.
As always, a great big Thank You to the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD...I hope you especially enjoy the story!
February 22, 2009
Happy Birthday, TCO!
Yep, believe it or not, three years ago today 'The Chosen One' went online. What a journey it's been! I've loved every single moment, learned a lot about how to design a website, the ins-and-outs of making it easy to navigate, managed to keep the focus on the fan fiction, which is what this site is all about. It's a bit different now than what I had envisioned when I first started out...much better than I had hoped for, actually.
In three years, I haven't received a single bad review from any readers. I've heard time and again that the stories on the site (this includes Renee's and Lisa's stories as well) are so close to the show that it's like watching...er...reading...new episodes. I can't tell you how much that thrills me! To know that I...that we...have managed to capture what makes Stargate SG-1 the great show that it is, makes every minute of research, every moment of arguing with the Muse, each instance of having to deal with stubborn characters worth it! I love what I'm doing, I'm having a blast, and that's really what matters, isn't it? Writing should be fun, should be done from the heart, and that's certainly happening here!
The best part is all of you! The GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD have made this humble little site a success, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can see from the way we've grown, the number of 'regular' readers that just keep coming back again and again, you're enjoying this journey as much as I am. Which gives me serious warm fuzzies!
To those of you who have been with me from the very beginning...THANK YOU! Your support, kind words, the encouragement when I was feeling down, the laughs when I needed them, the words of praise when I've posted a new story...all have made this process so much better. I'm a richer, better person for having you in my life, whether as friend, or just an acquaintance. To those of you who have just recently discovered my little corner of the Stargate universe, welcome...thanks for stopping in. I hope you enjoy your stay!
