Hiya! This page is available just in case you want to peruse my ramblings during the first year the site was up. What a ride it's been so far! And I'm loving every moment of this journey! I hope you are too! As I do whenever possible, I want to take a moment and thank the GREATEST READERS IN THE WORLD for all of their loyal support...without which this site wouldn't exist, and my stories would be languishing on my harddrive, read only by myself, and perhaps a few close friends. If you'd like to go back and 'watch' as the site grew, and as I learned more about this whole website thing, then please do so! Just scroll to the bottom of the page for the first entry, and away you go, following TCO on it's journey through the year! (To read the updates from Feb. 2007 to Feb. 2008, go here. For updates from March 2008 to Feb. 2009, go here. For updates occurring from Feb. 2009 to Nov. 2010, go here. Updates from Jan. 2011 to Dec. 2011, are here.)
Feb. 19, 2007
Hello! Just a little notice that I have heard the requests, and have added a few new graphics on The Chosen One story list page. Yes, ladies, there is more of the gorgeous hunk of archaeologist to drool over...er...enjoy. For those of you who might still be using dial-up, I apologize, the page is graphics intensive. If you have trouble getting to that page, you can access all of the stories from the "You Wrote That When?" page. Yeah, that took some work!! But, for the greatest Readers in the world, I do it gladly! Oh, yeah, right...you want an update on the next story. Well, it's coming along. Still working a few things out, but I hope to have it ready to post by the middle of March. Sooner if things go well. As always, I'll keep you posted. And remember, feedback is the 'soul food' for online authors!
Feb. 11, 2007
Greetings and Salutations! Just want to let you know that the newest installment for The Chosen One is up and ready for your perusal. While the story itself is fairly short, the chapters are a bit long, and I think when you see/read them, you'll understand why. This story was a lot of fun to write, and as usual, there are a few surprises, a few laughs, and of course, something new to worry about! I hope you enjoy it! I want to thank all of you for being the Greatest Readers in the World!!! Don't forget, feedback is 'soul' food for the online author!
Jan. 31, 2007
Hello there! When I check my stats, and see that several of my 'regular' readers are checking this page for word of new stories, well, I just feel obliged to 'say' something! So, I'll let you know what the Muse and I have been working on. I have a list of four stories for the Destiny's Child series, and most of the notes on just what will be happening in each one. I'm also working on a story for The Chosen One series. It will be a simple story, just following Daniel and Casey through an ordinary day. As soon as the Muse, the characters and I can agree whether it should be written first person or third person, we'll move on from where we are (which is about halfway. I've changed it twice, and it looks as if another change is in order!) There are days when I just want to sit back, cross my arms and refuse to type until everyone can agree! *grin* As you can see, the Muse has a lot planned for me. With luck, "A Day in My Life" will be posted sometime mid-February. Barring anymore arguments from the Muse and the characters.
Jan. 19, 2007
Well, at last I can tell you it's finished. Yep, you read correctly. "Sand in an Hourglass" has been posted, and is ready for your perusal. As always, I love feedback, it's 'soul food'. So let me know what you think of this latest installment for the Destiny's Child series.
Jan. 12, 2007
Just wanted to post a bit of an update...while work on "Sand in an Hourglass" is going very well...mostly...(working with a stubborn archaeologist can be trying at times! *grin*), I won't have it up this weekend. Certainly by next weekend it should be ready. Also, the Isis Awards were mentioned in an earlier update, and any of you who might have checked out the site have noticed...well, a very obvious lack of activity there, and the 2007 schedule has yet to be posted. Now, after careful consideration of this problem, it was put forth that somehow the Isis Awards team has come into contact with the gravitational forces of a black hole, which would then result in a distortion in time for them. Thus they are not aware that time is passing more slowly for them than it is for the rest of us. SG-1 have dealt with phenomenon of this nature before, and are confident that they can regain control of the Stargate, and return time to normal for the Isis Awards team. As soon as this operation has been reported as successful, I'll be sure to let you know. In the meantime, you might want to check out Renee's update page. It seems that she and her SG-1 have an alternate theory to what might be happening at the Isis Awards.
Jan. 9, 2007
(Is anyone else having a hard time getting used to that...2007? *grin*) Just a quick little note to let you all know that the story for Destiny's Child is coming along nicely. However (knew that was coming, didn't you?), I don't think it's going to be up by the 13th. I'm not saying it won't be posted then, I'm just saying that at this point in time, I think it's highly unlikely that it will be. Why, you ask? Well, it seems that the Muse has insisted that we deal with the holidays first, and I have to agree, I think the team deserves a little 'downtime'. Especially considering what's about to happen! Yep, I do believe we're going to see a bit of action. And you know what that means. Things will get worse for SG-1 before they get better! *grin* That said, it seems that this story is going to take a bit longer to write. I promise that as soon as it's ready, it will be up. Once again I'd like to thank all of you for your continued support, and for taking the time to read my stories! YOU ROCK!!
Jan. 4, 2007
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope that you all had a wonderful, happy, blessed holiday season. If you're a reader of my LJ (I've about given up on MySpace, the 'errors' are just annoying!), then you know that the first thing I did this year was broke me. As in my tailbone. I'm much better today, and I'm actually going to be able to write today. I'm working on the next installment for Destiny's Child. Also have a story for The Chosen One rattling around in my head. To be honest, I'm not sure when the DC story will be posted, I'm hoping that I'll have it up by the 13th. If anything happens to change that, I'll be sure to let you know! And for all of you who take the time to drop votes for this simple little site, THANK YOU!!!!
Dec. 26, 2006
It's that time of year again! On January 1st, the Isis Awards will open for nominations. This is your chance to support your favorite authors and help them to showcase their work. We all like to read a good story, so whether it be us, your own work or a friend's from a neighboring planet, if you enjoyed a story, let others know by nominating the tale(s) for an Isis Award. Be sure to read all of the nominating rules carefully.

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
An Adaptation by Robin K. Harper
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the
house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
Well, perhaps there was one, a writer it seems,
Who just had to tell of a
wonderful scene.
The keys on the keyboard click-clacked away,
'Cause the Muse and the Characters had plenty to say.
The story it seems, would be fun for all,
Of a Jaffa and a slender young blonde at the mall.
So onward, press onward, The Muse did entreat,
When the writer, quite tired, tried to rise from her seat.
"I must have some coffee, or my eyelids will
droop,"
Said the writer, yawning...she really was pooped!
Just a few lines more, and the story will end,
Promised The Muse to her weary writing friend.
Fresh coffee in hand, with Jack, Teal'c and Sam the writer
continued,
With Daniel, Janet and Casey...characters the readers well
knew.
For the Readers it seemed, the best in the world,
Were the only reason for this little tale.
A
'thank-you' of sorts, from a writer so grateful,
For making her site and her stories successful.
From The Muse and from Me, and the gang of the SGC,
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year,
And the best to My Readers, and their families.
I hope you enjoy "Christmas, Malls, and Jaffa"! I wish you and your family the best of the season. Whatever, or however you celebrate during this most festive time of year, may it be blessed and happy!
Dec. 16th, 2006
SEASONS GREETINGS!! Well, folks, in spite of the wind storm from hell, which brought record breaking wind gusts (several clocked at over 100mhp!) the site has survived and is up, and so is "Ice Queen". How's that for delivering on a promise? *grin* I hope you enjoy this latest adventure, and you know that I love to hear from you. Remember, if YOU don't tell me you like (or don't like!) the story, I'll never know! As I've said many times, feedback is absolute GOLD to the online writer! Happy Holidays to all of my wonderful readers. And yes, "Christmas, Malls, and Jaffa" will be posted on Christmas Eve. (Unless we get another wind storm. Cross your fingers, light candles, say a prayer, and send good thoughts that the hellacious winter that has struck the Northwest is over! *grin*) Don't forget to drop a vote for the site!! (If you're interested in 'gory details' and a bit of a rant, check out my LJ!)

When I posted last week, I did so before the virus from hell had hit me. I should have known my days were numbered, as all of the family has been down with it. Including Bricen. Sunday I was fine...spent four hours looking for an artificial tree just so I could come home and order it online! But I did manage a bit of Christmas shopping. Got up Monday morning, feeling okay...a little achy, but nothing too bad. By noon I was sick...as in 'take-me-out-back-and-shoot-me-so-I -can-feel-better' sick. I was in bed all day. Same on Tuesday. I had appointments Wednesday and Thursday, had to baby sit Friday, I'm thinking, I have 48 hours to get over this. Kept my appointments...came home and crawled back in bed. Babysat...came home and was in bed by 6pm...didn't stir until 5:30am the next morning! Slept most of yesterday...was in bed by 8 pm. Now, during all of this, The Muse and the gang took pity on my poor aching head. Which means, unfortunately, that "Ice Queen" won't be ready until Friday. I'm still hoping for sooner, but with all the RW stuff I have to catch up on, I'm not going to count on it. Just wanted to let you know that it IS going well, I'm getting so close to "THE END" that I can see it. But it will be a couple more days at least. I promise it will be up by the 16th...and as ever, thanks for your continued support! You're the greatest readers in the world!!
Dec. 6, 2006
My bad!!! I was feeling so lousy that I didn't get this posted as soon as I should have...Our own Renee won the Blue Moon Award for the Month of November, for "The Blonde, the Redhead, and the Archaeologist(s)"!! Congratulations, Renee! You deserve the recognition! Take a look at the award on Renee's Stories List Page, on the introduction page of the story, or on the Awards page. Once again, Congrats, girlfriend!!!!!!
Dec. 4, 2006
Yep, I know it's been awhile since I updated this page. For those on the mailing list, you have all of the particulars. I hope you had a chance to read the System Admin's note...*grin* I'm working on a story for TCO, and one for DC...yep, the Muse is keeping me plenty busy! With luck the story for TCO will be up sometime early next week. The story for DC will be up hopefully by Christmas Eve. That's the plan, anyway! I want to thank all of you for your support, your kind words of encouragement, and the laughs that you sent my way during the past couple of weeks. Let's hope that Mother Nature has finished with the Great Northwest for awhile! *grin*
Nov. 9, 2006
Believe it or not, "I Was Blind, But Now I See" is up, and ready for your reading pleasure! The Muse decided that we had reached "THE END"...although actually, it isn't 'the end', just a spot where I...er...we could say, "to be continued". I have to admit that writing this particular installment has been...interesting. And I also want to warn you that it does get a bit graphic as far as sexual violence goes. Definitely not for the squeamish! However, those particular scenes aren't gratuitous, they are there for a reason, one of which is to expose the absolute depravity of a certain Goa'uld that I absolutely love to hate! And for the reader who asked, yes, Ba'al will be showing up again. Will Daniel get to kick the snot out of him? I have no idea! Only the Muse knows, and she's not talking! *grin* I hope you enjoy this story...and remember, I have no idea if you like it if you don't tell me! I love feedback!
Nov. 7, 2006
Well, just a little note to let you know I'm working on "I Was Blind, But Now I See"...as in really working on it! Pulled an all-nighter Sunday...and it's coming along well. With luck it will be ready to post this weekend. I was hoping for sooner, but well, you know how it is with best laid plans! *grin* But never fear, it will be up soon! (Those on the mailing list will get a spoiler or two when I let them know about the progress of the story!) Anyway, thanks for all of your support, and remember, I LOVE feedback!
Nov. 2, 2006
This little update concerns the icons that will lead you to the top sites where The Chosen One is listed, and clicking them will cast a vote for the site. Simi's wonderful site, "Simi's Sci-Fi Topsites" is up and running again, and the icon has 'returned'. I STILL have no clue what is up for the icon for Sourcegate Topsites, but even though it doesn't 'show up', the link is active and works. So please, take a moment and vote for this site! Thanks!
Oct. 31, 2006
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! And to help celebrate the holiday, I have some great news! Thanks to YOU, and your votes at the SFA's, I'm thrilled (and a bit stunned!) to announce that "When Destiny Calls" won a Stargate Fan Award for Best Romantic Story! THANK YOU! It's because of your support, the fact that you took the time to register at the SFA site and vote that this was possible!!! You're the greatest readers in the whole wide world!!! THANKS!!!
Addendum: HOLY COW!!!! It's been a good day for me!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
The Destiny's Child series won Best of 2006 in the Blue Moon Awards! How cool is THAT? Too darned cool!!! Check out the nifty graphic for the award!!!! Toooooooooooooo cool!!!
Oct. 26, 2006
Just wanted to let you all know that work is progressing on "I Was Blind, But Now I See", although a bit slower than I had intended. Sometimes Real Life just won't leave me alone! But if you're keeping up with my blog on MySpace (and if you are, wow! Thanks!), you know that I've been babysitting quite a bit lately. Anyway, take heart, the story is in the works...a few unexpected twists...have I ever mentioned how the Muse delights in keeping me in the dark for as long as possible? I think I know where we're going, but I've thought that before, and been wrong! Anyway, as always, thanks for all of your support, and remember, I love feedback! If you don't tell me what you think, I'll never know!!
Oct. 18, 2006
How lucky can you be...two stories up in one week? LOL! Yep, that's right, "I Was Lost, But Now I'm Found" is now up and running, ready for your consumption...perusal...just read it already! It's the 'second part' of "Lost Souls". I have no idea how long Tem is going to be around, at least two more stories. Possibly longer. Hey, what can I say...he's a very interesting Goa'uld! (For a sick, twisted, evil, bat-shit crazy snake, that is!) Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, and as always, Thank You for your support, and for all of my regulars, I appreciate your encouragement! Remember, I love feedback...and don't forget to vote for the site! THANKS!!
Oct. 14, 2006
It's finished. It's up and ready for your perusal...consumption...eh...whatever. "The Blonde, the Redhead and the Archaeologist(s)" is finished. And I'm a bit sad about that, actually. I had so much fun working with Renee on this story, and to be honest, that fun just spilled into the story itself. Of course, having two characters like Casey and Annika to work with, well, the results are only to be expected! And who knows...with all the lovely solar flares and Quantum Mirrors and Ancient devices out there, ANYTHING could happen! *grin* I've never felt a need to warn readers before, but with this story, and the fact that Renee and I laughed until we were sore...well...I feel I must 'protect' myself from any complaints that might result without the warning. Here it is. Take it to heart!
WARNING: READING THIS STORY MAY CAUSE UNCONTROLLABLE LAUGHING FITS. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
Just a reminder, Renee's story ends differently than mine, so don't forget to check out both versions!! Enjoy! And remember, I LOVE feedback!
Oct. 12, 2006
Okay, I am now officially dangerous! I played around with my guest book, and even if I do say so myself, it looks great! That I was able to figure out how to link to my banner is because my dearest pal and bestest Pathetic Sister (*waves at Moonmistress*) explained how to do so. I'm certain that by now you've noticed the banner on all of the pagers. (No, I didn't make it myself. I went to a website...coolbanners.com or something like that.) So if you're interested, take a peek. And...um...as long as you're there...let me know what you think. Oh, and you can tell me what you think about the stories, too! (Sneaky, aren't I? *grin*) As always, thanks for your support, and remember, I LOVE feedback!
Oct. 11, 2006
Okay, so I'm doing my weekly update here...I'm hoping that this weekend I'll be able to post the story that Renee and I have been working on. It takes a bit longer because we have to send things back and forth, add/edit/change...discuss. We're having a blast, by the way. It looks like we've reached the end, now we just have to 'polish' it. Trust me, it will be worth the wait. And as for the I Was Lost, well, you know how the Muse just loves to throw curve balls at me. So right now we're deciding just how far this story will go...but I should have it up sometime next week. Really. Honest. Remember, I love feedback! It's my soul food!
Oct. 4, 2006
Just a little explanation for the site being 'down' for a few hours...this site is hosted on my son's server (Thanks son!)...and it seems that his cats decided to have a game of chase the tail behind the server...and managed to step on the power button for the entire thing. (If you ever saw Mork, you'd understand how that could happen...he's huge, and not even a year old yet!) Anyway, all is well and good, so no worries! Just wanted to let you know that nothing serious has happened. Oh, well, I guess I could drop a couple of hints here...the story with Renee is coming along very nicely. At this rate it might even be up by the 15th. And yes, "I Was Lost, But Now Am Found", the 'continuation' of the story in Destiny's Child is moving right along as well. As always, I love feedback, and I'd love to hear from you! To all of my 'regular' readers who take the time to contact me...THANK YOU! Don't be surprised to come in here one day and see your name listed as my all-time favorite readers!!
Sept. 27, 2006
Hello, you wonderful readers!!!! Yes, I AM in a good mood today. Opened up my email, and found this waiting for me!
Greetings & Congratulations!
You are receiving this email because you won a Blue Moon Award earlier this year and it is now time for our "Best Of" end of the year competition! Voting opened on September 27th and will close Midnight October 31 with winners being announced November 1st . Please feel free to post this information on your web site, to your mailing list or just to tell your friends. You can view our categories and vote in this "Best Of" end of the year competition by going to
www.moonsmusings.com/bluemoon/2006index.html
We thank you for participating in our program and wish you the best luck!
Sincerely,
The Blue Moon Awards Team
Now you all know how I feel about the BS that goes along with the SFA's. I have never been shy about pointing out how full of themselves that group seems to be. And that due to the quality of the 'winners', the SFA's mean damned little! Being nominated by faithful readers, THAT'S what's important, THAT is what gives me warm fuzzies and a big smile. Anyway, that said, I'm in the running for taking the fan fiction "Best Of" award! Too cool, huh? Anyway, check it out, and ladies, DO check out the fan art nominees...I promise you won't be sorry!! (Good luck picking just one there!)
And, just a little note for all of you waiting with bated breath for the next installment of DC, the 'second' part to the story, it's coming along great. Although, as usual, there's a lovely little 'bump in the road' that I didn't see coming. Should be interesting...I don't think this particular...um...problem will last long. But it will be amusing! I hope! Anyway, that's all for today! As always, thanks for all of your support, and I LOVE feedback!
Sept. 24, 2006
Just a little note about the "Top Site" icons on the main page. The 'broken' icon to the LEFT of the Chevron26 button DOES work, the Sourcegate site is back up and running, so you CAN vote for the site there. Whatever is wrong with the icon is on their end, not mine. The icon to the RIGHT is for the Top 250 Sci-fi sites, and that site is sadly down for a time while Sime moves, and sets up with a new ISP. Hopefully it will be available again soon. The Gateguide Site banner (beneath Moon Mistress' banner) also works, again, the problem with the banner is on their end. So please don't forget to vote for The Chosen One when you get the chance! Remember, vote early, vote often! LOL!
Sept. 23, 2006
All right folks, it's up. "Lost Souls" is now ready for your perusal. Now, before I get any frantic emails, yes, I am working on the next 'part' of the story (oooo...nice spoiler there eh?). The Muse was quite kind about it, and the characters absolutely adamant...one in particular! (Who knew that the archaeologist could be so damned irritable? *grin*) Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story, and remember, I love feedback!
Sept. 14, 2006
I've been debating about adding a few pages to my site for awhile now. I'm afraid that by adding them, 'admitting' to the existence of these 'alternate realities', I'll only be encouraging the Muse. I think I've mentioned how much she likes to torment me at times, making my poor head spin. Renee, my dear friend (*waves at Renee*) tells me I should go for it. That the story not posted should be available. (She thinks it's good...*grin* All of the feedback I've received from my mailing list 'regulars' seems to concur!) So, with some trepidation, I am opening "Alternate Realities". It will house "No Matter the Time, II", as well as my most recent 'alternate' story, "When Two Hearts Collide". Will there be more of these stories? I would love to say "NO!"...but I think we know my Muse well enough by now, don't we? I'm certain there will be at least one more. So, for those of you who haven't read either of these stories...here's your chance. Oh, and yes, "Lost Souls" is being worked on. This is another 'difficult' story...one where I have to force myself to write what I know must be written. I'd rather just look away, 'jump' right over the dark parts. But that isn't fair to the characters, or to you, my faithful readers. So please bear with me as the Muse takes me down this rocky path.
Sept. 10, 2006
I was only going to write a few quick lines, to let my wonderful, faithful readers know that the next story in the Destiny's Child series is underway. "Lost Souls" is moving along nicely. (Yes, for those of you wondering, I am basically working on two stories at once. Believe it or not, sometimes it helps to leave one alone for awhile, and concentrate on the other one!) But then I looked at the date. Sept. 10. Five years ago, this was the last day of 'innocence' we had. Because on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, our peace...our innocence...our apathy...was shattered forever. I had a dear friend from Texas call me that morning. She was in tears. "Robin, turn on the TV, we've been attacked," she said. I'll never forget that. Or the feelings of disbelief as I turned on the television, and watched in horror as our world changed forever. Heroes, hundreds of heroes, emerged that day. From New York City firemen and policemen, to the people on that doomed flight over Pennsylvania, to those who frantically worked to save the injured in the Pentagon. So if you're reading this, take a few moments to remember those innocent thousands who died that day, doing what they did every day, living their lives peacefully. And remember the heroes, the ones who are still with us, and the ones who were taken from us by the acts of animals the likes of which no sane, thinking person will ever understand. We will NEVER forget. NEVER!

Sept. 1, 2006
Well, Hallelujah, it's ready! Yep, you read that correctly! "Lessons Learned" is up and ready for your consumption...perusal, whichever it is...The story is the newest installment in the Destiny's Child Series. I hope you enjoy it, and as always, I love to hear from you! Oh, please do read the ratings warning on the stories, and on the Main Page, it IS there for a reason. Don't want any more emails about the graphic nature of the stories. IF you can't read the warnings, DO NOT read the stories...DUH!!!!
August 27, 2006
When I check my stats, and see people 'hitting' this page, well, I almost feel obligated to put something new up for them! So here it is...a big ol' howdy-do! For those of you who just might be interested, I'm getting a lot of hits from folks coming in from the SFA's, and some of them are actually reading more than just the nominated stories...too cool, huh? If you're new to the site, you might want to peruse this page a bit, just to 'catch-up' on what's going on. And, um, "Lesson's Learned" is going very well. Took a turn I did not expect, but gee, that's never happened before, eh? With luck, and if the Muse keeps whispering the way she has been (okay, today she was YELLING at me...difference of opinion on a scene. Guess who won? Hint: it wasn't me!) I should be able to get it up sometime this week. I'm going to try, I promise. Oh...and if you are one who keeps track of the little stat counter on the bottom of the home page...don't freak...I didn't 'lose' hits. I figured out how to adjust the counter to only record 'unique' hits. I might change it back, don't know for sure just yet. Anyway, that's all for today!
August 25, 2006
Yep, it's me again! This time I do have news about "Lessons Learned". It's coming along quite nicely, and since it looks as if I'll have Saturday to myself, it just might be done sometime next week. Don't hold your breath, I'm not making any promises. Oh, and all the work I did on the site, putting stat counters on each and every page (oy, what a job!)...well, lots of pages being hit! And I keep 'tweaking' things...so you might want to check out the index pages occasionally, to see what I've changed...or added. Because I have figured this thing out...and I am dangerous! ROFLMBO! Thanks to my regular readers...those who contact me, and those who prefer to just read 'quietly', for all your continued support. And really, I'll have a new story up soon. Honest.
August 23, 2006
Okay, this isn't news about "Lessons Learned". Which I am working on...sort of. I've been doing a bit of work on the site...and in between times have been writing. What I did finish and put up is a list of all the stories I've written, and when I wrote them...something that I had started back when the episode in Season 9 aired...the one with the bugs...I got an email asking when I had written the story where SG-1 faced nasty bugs (that particular event happened in "He Said, She Said") So, with the help of the handy-dandy little 'encoded date' feature on my Microsoft word program, I looked it all up. I have to admit, I do seem a bit...obsessed! My only defense is...what else is there to do in the Great Northwest in the winter...and when the Muse talks, I listen...and last but not least...a large number of those stories are very short. Anyway, it's there if you're curious. It's listed under "You Wrote That When?"
August 20, 2006
I thought I'd let you know I've got a couple of things in the works. "Lessons Learned" is going to be the next story in the Destiny's Child Series. Then there's going to be a story for The Chosen One that will be a first for me. A real surprise. I hope you all will enjoy it. It will have absolutely nothing to do with the story arc, but so far looks to be entertaining...and fun. So, that's the update for today.
August 16, 2006
Yep, getting annoying, aren't I? New software, new FTP program that I actually understand...I'm dangerous! Anyway, if you're reading this, you probably noticed that I 'spruced up' my home page. Not even six months into this and I'm getting 'fancy'! As soon as I figure out where my Webring 'icon' disappeared to, I'll have that back up as well! The html code is there...the icon just refuses to show up! AND...I've forgotten all my id/pw stuff for the Webring account. I know I had it written down somewhere...I thought I did, anyway. Anyhoo...WHEN Myspace is working again, I'll put a link up for it. So that you can take a gander at my ramblings there. And maybe, just maybe, I'll stop posting in here so often...<grin>
August 15, 2006
Tee hee...first I have problems with my 'puter, and don't update this page for a month. Now I won't 'shut up'...<grin>. Anyhoo...since there are 'new' readers checking out this page, I just wanted to point out to them that those who were on my mailing list were 'updated' on what was going on as often as I could do so. If you're interested in knowing ahead of the rest when new stories are going to be posted, or if there is something going on, sign up for my mailing list. (There's a handy-dandy link above to do so!) Those folks also get 'goodies'...from time to time. (Okay, so it's only been one (very large!) goodie so far, but I have another one in the works!) So if you're interested, sign up! And be sure to 'confirm' your subscription! And I'll mention here once again that I do have a story available for anyone who would like to read it. I'm still debating on whether or not it will ever be posted. So if you'd like to read "When Two Hearts Collide", email me and request it! Guess that's all for today!
August 13, 2006
Yep, I'm on a roll now! "Whom the Gods Created", the newest story in The Chosen One series, is now up and running. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for your patience in getting this particular story up. Remember, I LOVE feedback! Just want to add that Moonmistress had several of her wonderful stories nominated at the SFA's...please take a look at them as well!
August 12, 2006
Yeah, I know. Two updates magically appear. I thought I was set up...and wasn't. Such is life. Just wanted to let you all know that I have been nominated for SFA awards (who'd have thunk it, eh? I was positive I wouldn't make it through the nominating process!) So, if you're of a mind, go on over to: http://www.stargatefanawards.com/ and have a look around. What was nominated? Glad you asked! Here's a list of the stories, categories, etc. (They have a little icon that I could put beside the story title...but I'm not interested in that...I WILL put on the index page what has been nominated as well.) On to the list!

August 10, 2006
Well, I'm back!! Finally have the upgrade finished, we'll see how well all of these new programs work together...and how well I can run them! The good news is "Whom the Gods Created" is almost finished, I hope to have it up and running on Sunday. That's with a bit of luck! Now, we get to see if I can actually upload this...or is it download? I can never remember. Anyway, let's see if I can get this update...updated!
July 9, 2006
Well, believe it or not, I actually finished this story sooner than I planned. I'm sure the 'all-nighter' I pulled on Friday had something to do with it...<BIG GRIN> Hey, the Muse was talking, things were going well, I was in 'the zone'...who needs sleep, right? Okay, I do, but I'm okay, really. So anyway, "Dead Men Tell No Tales", the newest installment in my award winning "Destiny's Child Series" (I LOVE saying that...LOL!) is now ready for your perusal. And remember, I love feedback! How am I supposed to know you love it...or hate it...if I don't hear from you?
June 30,2006
I am so excited I could just...well, I could just! "Destiny's Child" has been given a Blue Moon Award for Best FanFiction Series!!! HOW COOL IS THAT?????? Thank you, Moonmistress!! Since the Blue Moon Award is the only award that really means anything to me, I am so thrilled I can't stand it! A big Bronx cheer to the 'ultimate' award, from a site that can't even get their act together!!! All together now... pppppppppppppppppppppfffffffffffffffffffffffttttttttttttttttttt!!!!
June 28, 2006
I've decided that it's going to be a couple of weeks, at the very least, before "Dead Men Tell No Tales" will be anywhere near ready to post. So, after thinking about it, I've decided to offer one of the stories I have written, that isn't posted (I haven't made up my mind whether it will be at some future date). This is the story that was offered to the folks on my mailing list. I've gotten good feedback from it, so it must be okay <grin>. Anyway, if you're interested in reading "When Two Hearts Collide", email me and let me know. It's a very long story (over 500 pages), so I have it broken into 'parts'. I'll send one part a day until you've received them all. Interested? Let me know!
June 23, 2006
Well, today has been interesting so far...tried to console Moonmistress, who has been the victim of story theft...again. What IS it with people? Reading the story for free isn't enough? Obviously these types have NO CLUE what it feels like to have something TAKEN from them. It's not like we wouldn't send the stories, if they simply asked! But no, that's too much effort. Makes me wonder why we even bother maintaining sites, post our stories when this is the way people act toward us! There are a few regular, faithful, WONDERFUL readers who keep me posting...as well as writing, some days. Speaking of writing, "Dead Men Tell No Tales" is getting underway, the newest installment for the Destiny's Child Series. These stories are always a bit more involved, a bit longer, so they take a little longer to write. So I have no idea when it will be ready. I'll let you know. And, if you're at all interested, I have a blog on Myspace.com, addy is http://www.myspace.com/robinkhs_place . Called robinkh.com' (with the idea that people might actually check the site out), tag is "Take the Journey". So if you have nothing better to do, you can drop by and read my latest rants, ramblings, whatever. And remember, I love to hear from readers!
June 18, 2006
Happy Father's Day to any Dad's out there who actually wander into this universe! And in celebration of this day..."A Taste of Things to Come" is up and ready. Okay, so the fact that the story is ready and posted today is just a coincidence...it sounded good, right? Anyway, enjoy...and as always, I love feedback!
June 2, 2006
Okay, folks...it's up and running and ready for your reading enjoyment! "Out of the Blue" is now available. As always, I love feedback, and would love to know if you like it or hate it!
May 28, 2006
For anyone who has had difficulty getting to this page, I apologize! I didn't realize the link wasn't working until today, and I'm hoping that whatever messed it up (doggone those computer gremlins!) has been dealt with! Anyway, here's hoping that I don't have to spend the week checking every freaking link on the site! (Whose bright idea was it for me to do this, anyway?)
May 26, 2006
Just a little heads up for anyone who hasn't signed up for the mailing list. This will be the last time I bring it up, so if you snooze, you lose! I'm aiming to get that 'something special' ready for mailing list members by Monday, with luck that is. If all goes well! So to those of you on the list, please remember that I love feedback! To those of you waiting for 'Out of the Blue', the good news so far is that it looks like it should be posted next weekend. To all of the Gentle, Constant Readers in the U.S., have a great Memorial Weekend. To those elsewhere in the world, hope your weekend is a good one!
May 24,2006
Have you ever heard: "there's good news, and there's bad news"? Well, the good news is, 'Out of the Blue' is coming along very well...when I get a chance to work on it, that is. Which hasn't been often in the past few days. Which leads us in turn, to the bad news. It looks as if it will be next week at the earliest before the story is finished and ready to post. I know that there are a few of you anxious to read it. And I'm really sorry that it's taking longer than I had anticipated. RW has sort of interfered with my plans. I'm not complaining though, babysitting my grandson is a lot of fun. Even if it does mean I have to drive for an hour to go to the south end of the (Whidbey) Island. And even it does mean no access to my computer while I'm there. The story will be finished, and put up...soon, I promise...really! Hope your days are going well!
May 21, 2006
Hello, there! Just wanted to let my Constant, Gentle Readers know that "Out of the Blue" is coming along nicely. Really. Although Daniel is...well, surprised is a very polite way to put it. This story is going to have some very funny moments in it, in spite of the tension that fills the first three chapters. I'm hoping it will be a bit 'lighter' than what I've been doing so far. We need a bit of levity, don't you agree? And for those of you on the mailing list, be sure to watch your email...I'll be sending you word about a special 'goodie' that will be available soon. Just my way of saying 'Thank you' for being 'fans'. And taking the time to fill out a form to join the mailing list. My best wishes for a good week to all, and a promise that the new story should be up next weekend. Oh, and for those who have signed up to join the mailing list, be sure that you have 'responded' to the email request for verification...you're not on the list until that happens. Don't want you to miss out on any update news!
May 17, 2006
A belated Happy Mother's Day for all of the Mothers out there! I hope that you had a nice day with your families. My son and his wife were here, which meant Baby Bricen time! That boy is growing like a little weed. We went out for dinner, and had a lovely time. For those of you who might be wondering, yes...I really am working on another story. Not easy to have two of them bouncing around in my head. For those who seem to be downloading everything in sight...from the site (don't you just love the English language? LOL!) I do hope you're enjoying it. I don't mind, really I don't. Usually. It's just that I find it so rude that you would take the time to download everything, and then not even spare a few seconds to send an email or sign the Guest Book. And bitching about it here is probably a waste of time, as the lurkers, lookee-lous and 'drop-ins' never seem to check out this page. To my Constant Gentle Readers...all five or six of you...I promise to have a new story up soon. Really. As soon as I get the details sorted out. Have I ever mentioned that two realities can be a pain in the rear-end? Have I ever mentioned the whining I get...in stereo? Have I ever mentioned that most writers are certifiably insane?
May 5, 2006
Okay, "After Midnight" is up and ready for your reading pleasure. I didn't go over it as many times as I usually do to check for silly mistakes, I'll correct them as I find them. It took me longer to write this particular story, mostly because the Muse and I disagreed on just how 'in depth' I was going to go into certain parts. I won, just to let you know...;-) (Which means that the next time, she wins!) Anyway, if there are any really glaring errors, feel free to point them out to me. Oh, and I KNOW that the title seems to be sort of 'lost' there on the Stories List page. I'm working with tables...my first website...so bear with me. Remember...online authors live for feedback either through email or Guest Books! (And no, I haven't finished the housework, as a matter of fact. Company doesn't get here until Sunday...why do today what I can put off until tomorrow?)
May 2, 2006
I had intended to only use this space to let my Gentle and Constant Readers...and the rest of you lookee lou's and lurkers...know when I had completed and posted a new story. Somehow this has 'morphed' into my way of...communicating...with you. Now I suppose everyone has days when they wonder just what the hell they're doing, and why. Days where it doesn't seem to matter. I think that those who have 'artistic' souls, be they sculptors or dancers, painters or writers, have lower lows, and probably higher highs than other folks. So today, I'm having this really low, low day, working on "After Midnight", which is actually going rather well, and bemoaning the fact that due to my son's generosity with my spare bedroom, I'm going to have company this weekend. Which means I'll be spending the week cleaning and doing all of the things I've neglected to do...for months, instead of working on this story. Then I started thinking that, well, it's not like I'm writing the great American novel, for crissakes. It's just fan fiction. Not even that good, really. Well, probably not that good, considering the feedback, or lack thereof, actually. I understand that there are a few of you out there that seem to enjoy my efforts. And I'm grateful for you, believe me! But yesterday I watched someone from Toronto hit EVERY ONE of my stories, in both series, and the timing suggests that they downloaded everything. I can guarantee you that I will never hear a word. I'm even left wondering how much of my work will wind up somewhere else with someone else's name on it. Nah...probably not...it's not that good. See, told you I'm having a down day. Anyway, I have no idea when "After Midnight" will go up. To be honest, at this point, I'm not even sure that I care. Down, down, down, down day!
April 29, 2006
Okay, so I'm working on this story, "After Midnight", when 'other stuff' keeps banging around in my head. I think I have the other stuff dealt with now. So now I'm working on the story again. With luck, it should be up sometime next week. On a totally personal note, I have noticed that there are several Gentle Readers who have been downloading my work...stat counters are an excellent way to keep track of things like that! Now, I don't mind, I figure this is so they can read at their leisure. It would be nice, however, if these folks at least had the decency to drop a line and let me know that a) they're downloading the work without permission, and b) whether or not they like it! I mean, come on, if you're going to TAKE it, the least you can do is SAY something! Remember, the Guest Book, or my email, is the ONLY way I know whether or not my work is appreciated. To those of my Gentle, Constant Readers who DO contact me regularly, THANK YOU! For the rest of you...I'm waiting!
April 16, 2006
Happy Easter to those Gentle Readers who celebrate this holiday. "Twenty-Four" is now up and ready for your perusal. This story has been rattling around in my head for awhile...and although it didn't come out exactly as I thought it would, the Muse and the characters are happy with it. I hope that you enjoy it as well! As always, I love to hear from you!
April 8, 2006
Finally took the time to 'fix' all the problems that I discovered in "No Matter the Time, II...an Alternate Love Story", and I apologize for taking so long to do so. Now, you can read it without all the funky "?" all the way through it...have NO idea how THAT happened! So if you tried to read it, and gave up, please give it another try! And remember, I love hearing from the Gentle Readers who venture into my universe!
April 5, 2006
Okay, folks, it's up and ready for your reading enjoyment. The newest installment of The Chosen One series, "In Your Own Backyard" is now available. Enjoy! And remember, I would love to hear from you!
March 30, 2006
I'm working on "In Your Own Backyard", another story for "The Chosen One" series. I had planned to have it ready and up this weekend. However, the Muse has taken it into her head (I'm NOT complaining, mind you...don't want writer's block for the next year!) that this story will be a bit longer than usual, a bit more in depth. Which means it's taking longer to write. Especially when RW keeps interrupting. Not that I'm complaining about that, either. After all, I have a new grandson to spoil! Please don't give up on me, with luck, the story should be up by the middle of next week. Maybe. Encouragement is always useful...and always welcome!
March, 24th, 2006
Just a little note to let all of my Gentle Readers (and those who have read my work for the past year and a half, and who have contacted me and become friends) know that my next story won't be up until the end of next week. That's because this week has been taken up with the arrival of my first grandchild! Bricen (Br-eye-son) Sebastian was born on March 22, at 12:38 pm, weighing 8lbs 15 1/2 ounces, 21 inches long. Mother and baby are doing fine, my son may eventually touch ground again in a year or so! <grin>
March 17, 2006
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you've donned the green, and will be lifting a pint today, and celebrating in whatever way is the most fun for you and yours! For any of you out there who are interested, and you know who you are, "Oh, Mother" has just been uploaded. This is a new story in "The Chosen One" series. As usual, it didn't go exactly as I thought it would, but I should know by now that I am merely the fingers for the keyboard...the Muse and the Characters call all of the shots! I hope you enjoy this new story, and please remember, the ONLY way I know if you like it or not, is when you contact me, either through email (addy is above), or the Guest Book. Silence is NOT golden!
Edited to add: Well, break out the champagne, folks, I have it figured out...I think. To celebrate, "Every Good Deed" is up and running! Remember...I LOVE feedback!
March 4, 2006
Feb. 28, 2006
For anyone who might have missed it, I have a Guest book, so if you're here and reading, please take a few seconds to let me know what you think! Remember, on-line authors have no other feedback from readers! Thanks!
Feb. 24, 2006
Whew! Okay, all of the stories in "The Chosen One" series have been corrected. I think. I'm sure there are still typos there somewhere. But the biggest mistakes, and I made some whoppers!!!...are now fixed. I'll be working on Time, II...and the two stories in the "Destiny's Child" Series this weekend. Then, the Muse insists we get back to work. Just what does she think I've been doing all week?
Feb. 22, 2006
Hurray!! I'm finally online! All of the stories I have written so far are now available. I'm still working the kinks out, so please bear with me if you find mistakes. The Guest Book isn't linked yet, I hope to have that up soon, but you can always email me at [email protected] if you are so inclined. For my 'regular' Gentle Readers, the newest story is "In Between the Lines", and the two "Destiny's Child" stories. Also, I have made "No Matter the Time, II...an Alternate Love Story" available on the site. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy the journey!
